Stephen and his work

For well over a decade Stephen has been capturing his home town of Godalming and its environs in pictures. During this time he has built up a good local following. His subject range has expanded from portraits, sailing and steam trains and now includes animals, landscapes and humorous sketches. At the same time interest in Stephen's work has grown too - his paintings are now to be found as far afield as California in the US and St Petersburg in Russia.

Stephen has exhibited widely over the last ten years with many showings in the South East of England, including the Showcase Gallery, the Manning Exhibition Gallery and the Llewylen Alexander Gallery in The Cut, London. He is also very proud to be the Millenium Artist for Godalming. As well as being an Adult Education art tutor he gives talks to local art societies and is a full exhibiting member of the Guildford Art Society. His love of steam locomotives has lead him to help a number of mainline locomotive societies by the presentation of paintings for sale.
